Which retro consoles we buy
Nintendo home consoles
The NES, the Super Nintendo, the Nintendo 64, the GameCube and the Wii.
Game Boy
The original Game Boy and the Pocket, the Color, the Advance and the SP. For the SP the form asks for the version. The number is on the underside, and the AGS-101 has a backlit, brighter screen.
Nintendo DS and 3DS
Here too, the model number is on the underside. NTR is the DS, USG the DS Lite, TWL the DSi and UTL the DSi XL. For the 3DS, CTR is the 3DS, SPR the 3DS XL, FTR the 2DS, KTR the New 3DS, RED the New 3DS XL and JAN the New 2DS XL.
PlayStation 1, PS2 and PSP
The original PlayStation, the PS2, big or Slim, and the PSP. For the PSP you choose between 1000, 2000 or 3000 and the small PSP Go without a UMD drive.
Sega and the original Xbox
You find the Master System, Mega Drive, Saturn, Dreamcast and Game Gear under Sega. The original Xbox is simply called Xbox in the form.
Not in the list?
For another console, for example an Atari 2600, you choose Other as the brand and briefly write which one it is.
What decides the price
With an old console, what counts most is whether it still works. That is why we ask exactly about that.
- The model, and for the Game Boy Advance SP, the DS, the 3DS and the PSP also the version.
- The condition of the casing, from flawless through everyday wear to damaged.
- For home consoles, whether a controller is included.
- How it works. Does the console start, are picture and sound good, does the cartridge slot or disc drive read the games, and do the buttons respond?
What you end up with you see straight away in the configurator, as the maximum price for the condition you describe. The amount becomes binding after our check, and if something then differs from what you told us, you decide in your own time whether to accept.
Sold in three steps
Describe
You describe your device in a few clicks, no photos and no account, and see your price straight away.
Send it in or drop it off
If the offer suits you, you send your device with the free postage label from the Post. Or you drop it off in Holziken by appointment.
Get paid
After the check we pay into your account within 48 hours. If something differs from what you told us when we check it, we come back to you and you decide in your own time.
If you don't agree, we send your device back free of charge.
Cartridges, memory cards and batteries
A few quick steps protect your saves and the console on the way to us.
- Take out the cartridge or disc that is still in the console.
- Take out the memory card if you want to keep your saves. The original PlayStation, the PS2 and the GameCube only save to it.
- Take the batteries out of the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance and Game Gear. Leaked batteries leave corrosion on the contacts.
- On the N64, the Jumper Pak or the Expansion Pak stays in the slot on top. Without one of the two the console does not start up to a picture.
Include the power supply and cables, and for the DS, 3DS, SP and PSP the charger. That way the price from the form applies. Pack everything well padded.
What belongs in the same request
If a home console comes with a controller, you put it in the parcel too. You sell extra controllers with a separate request under Controllers and accessories.
You also sell cartridges and discs with a separate request. You choose Games and your console and type in the titles, and each one is valued individually.
For a whole collection with several consoles, you write to us at info@gamesandmore.ch with a short list, and we make you one offer for everything.
Even if faulty, sell or repair
We also buy a Game Boy with a dark screen, an NES that only blinks or a PS2 that no longer reads discs. In the form, choose Faulty under Condition and write in one sentence what does not work. Because these devices are no longer made new, a repair is often worth it, and we tell you honestly what makes more sense for you.
Common questions
How much is my retro console still worth?
It depends on the model, the condition, for home consoles the controller, and above all whether it still works. Describe it in a few clicks and you see a concrete maximum price straight away. The amount becomes binding after our check.
How much is my PS2 still worth?
It depends on the condition, the controller and whether the disc drive still reads every disc. You choose both the original PS2 and the Slim as PlayStation 2 and see your price straight away. You sell the games with a separate request.
Do you also buy a Game Boy that no longer works?
Yes. Choose Faulty under Condition and briefly describe what does not work, such as a dark screen or no sound. If a repair makes more sense for you, we tell you so openly.
Does the original box have to be included?
No. The price in the form depends on the model, condition, controller and function. If the console is still new and sealed, you choose that under Condition.
How quickly do I get my money?
You see your price straight away, and the free postage label reaches you by e-mail right after. Once it arrives we check the console and transfer the money within 48 hours. From sending to being paid usually takes three to five working days, depending on the post.
What happens if I don't like the offer?
Then it costs you nothing. If our first offer does not suit you, you simply do not send us anything. If something differs from what you told us when we check it, you get a new offer that you can accept or decline. If you decline, we send your device back free of charge. You only sell what you have confirmed.
