Model and model number

Which Switch do you have?

Switch, HAC-001

The first Switch, from 2017. In the form this is the V1.

Switch, HAC-001(-01)

The same design from 2019, with a much longer battery life. From the outside it looks the same, only the number gives it away. In the form this is the V2.

Switch Lite, HDH-001

The small Switch from 2019, with built in sticks and no TV mode.

Switch OLED, HEG-001

The Switch from 2021 with the larger screen.

Switch 2, BEE-001

Its successor, from 2025.

Where to find the number

On the back of the console. In the form above you choose the version, and if you are not sure, pick I don't know.

Your offer

What decides the amount

Your price depends on what counts on a Switch. That is why we ask first about the model and then about the Joy-Con.

  1. The model, from the first Switch to the Switch 2.
  2. The Joy-Con. If a stick drifts to the side on its own or a Joy-Con sits loose in its rail, we see it during the check.
  3. Screen and casing, meaning scratches, cracks or a touchscreen that no longer responds.
  4. The battery, and whether the console charges reliably.
  5. The dock, power adapter and HDMI cable belong with it, for the Lite the charger, as they came from the factory. You don’t need the original box.

What you end up with you see straight away in the configurator, as the maximum price for the condition you describe. The amount becomes binding after our check, and if something then differs from what you told us, you decide in your own time whether to accept.

If the offer suits you, you send your device with the free postage label from the Post. Or you drop it off in Holziken by appointment.

  3. Get paid

If you don't agree, we send your device back free of charge.

Before you send it

Reset and unlink your Switch

Restore the console to its factory settings, and do it with an internet connection. Only then does Nintendo also remove the link to your virtual game cards.

  1. Switch, Lite and OLED. System Settings, then System, then Formatting Options, and there Restore Factory Settings.
  2. Switch 2. In System Settings, among the options for deleting data, restore the console to its factory settings.
  3. Take the microSD card out first, it stays with you.

If you have already given the console away, you unlink it on accounts.nintendo.com under your linked consoles. Through the website that works once a year. We reset every console again before we resell it anyway, but the first wipe is best done by you.

Nintendo Account

Your games and your save data

Games bought digitally belong to your Nintendo Account, not to the console. On a new Switch you sign in and download them again.

Your save data, on the other hand, lives on the console. With Nintendo Switch Online you back it up to the Save Data Cloud for most games, and when you move to the Switch 2 you transfer it straight from console to console during setup.

You sell game cards with a separate request, and you keep the microSD card.

Honest maths

With drift or a charging problem

We also buy a Switch with drift, a charging problem or a cracked screen. In the form, choose Faulty under Condition and describe the fault in one sentence. If you would rather keep the console, it is worth checking with Nintendo first. In Switzerland Nintendo repairs Joy-Con with drift free of charge until further notice, even after the warranty has run out. For all other faults there is our repair service.

Common questions

How much is my Switch still worth?

It depends on the model, the condition of the Joy-Con and the screen, the battery and the accessories. Based on your details you see a concrete maximum price straight away, and it becomes binding after our check.

How do I reset my Switch before selling it?

With an internet connection, under System Settings, System, Formatting Options, Restore Factory Settings. On the Switch 2 you find the reset in System Settings, among the options for deleting data. Take the microSD card out first.

What happens to the games I bought?

Digital games stay in your Nintendo Account and can be downloaded again on a new console. Back up your save data first to the Nintendo Switch Online Save Data Cloud or transfer it to the new console, because the reset deletes it.

Do you also buy the Switch 2 and the Switch Lite?

Yes, every model from the first Switch to the Switch 2, including the Lite and the OLED. You choose the version in the form, and the model number on the back helps you.

Do you buy a Switch with Joy-Con drift?

Yes. Drift lowers the amount but does not make the console worthless. If you want to keep it, Nintendo repairs Joy-Con with drift free of charge in Switzerland until further notice, even after the warranty has run out.

How quickly do I get my money?

You see your price straight away, and the free postage label reaches you by e-mail right after. Once it arrives we check the console and transfer the money within 48 hours. From sending to being paid usually takes three to five working days, depending on the post.

What happens if I don't like the offer?

Then it costs you nothing. If our first offer does not suit you, you simply do not send us anything. If something differs from what you told us when we check it, you get a new offer that you can accept or decline. If you decline, we send your device back free of charge. You only sell what you have confirmed.
