How the buyback works

You pick device and condition above and see our guide price straight away. If it suits you, you leave your name, e-mail and your account details for the payout. Within 24 hours you get a free postage label from us. You print it, pack your device and hand the parcel in at the post office. Once it arrives we check everything and transfer the money to your account within 48 hours. The whole process costs you nothing.

Why the price is only final after the check

The calculator knows the model and the condition, but not your actual device. We open every parcel, test all the functions, check the ports and the fans on consoles, the contacts and the saving on cartridges, the readability on discs. If everything matches what you told us, you get exactly the amount shown. If something differs, we come back to you with an adjusted offer and you decide in your own time. If you do not agree, we send your device back. We only buy what you have confirmed. How we then state the condition in the shop is explained on the page Condition.

What we buy

Consoles, games and accessories from PlayStation 2 to PlayStation 5, plus NES, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance and Nintendo Switch. Cameras and lenses as well. The calculator above covers the common devices. If you cannot find your model there, just send us a short list by e-mail to info@gamesandmore.ch, ideally with a few photos. We reply with an offer for the whole lot.

What we do not buy

We do not take clones or pirate copies, because we sell originals only. Devices with water or drop damage we look at after talking to you, an offer from the calculator does not apply to those. Goods that do not belong to you we never buy. And one honest note. Yearly sports titles and the big sellers of the PS3 and PS4 era exist in their millions, today they are worth a few francs. We take them along in a lot, but do not expect a large amount for them.

How much do you get

Less than the price the item later carries in the shop, and we say that openly. Between your parcel and the sale sit testing, cleaning, photos, storage, 12 month warranty and 30 days return rights. We carry that risk now, not you. The gap is not the same everywhere. For rare, complete and sought after pieces we pay a lot better than for common loose cartridges, because those sell more slowly and tie up shelf space. All together or piece by piece

For us it makes no difference, for you it does. One single parcel with everything in it is one valuation, one shipment and one payment. If you sell them off yourself one by one, you get more for the two or three really sought after pieces, but you pay for it with weeks of effort on all the rest. The practical route is usually this one. Send us the whole box and point out in the e-mail the pieces you believe are special. We value those individually and the rest as a lot.

Delete your personal data before you send it in

This is the point almost everyone forgets, and it matters more than the price. On PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 you sign out of the PlayStation Network and deactivate the console as your primary console first, otherwise it stays linked to your account. After that you reset it through the system settings. On the Nintendo Switch you unlink your user account from the console and then initialise it. Memory cards and SD cards you take out and keep, and the same goes for the card in a camera. We reset every device again before we resell it anyway, but the first wipe should be one you did yourself.

Both have their place, so here is the honest comparison. On a marketplace you can get more for a single sought after piece. In return you write a text for every item, take the photos, answer questions, haggle, get let down, pack and post everything yourself. With forty games that is forty listings. Then come the fees, and you stay the contact for the buyer when something does not work.

With us there is one price, one parcel, one free postage label and one transfer within 48 hours of the check. No meeting strangers, no haggling, no questions coming back months later. If you want to break up a collection or clear out the attic, this is the faster route. If you have one sealed collector piece and time to spare, the marketplace may be better for you. We would rather tell you that up front than have you work it out afterwards.

Games and More is a Swiss family business in Holziken in the canton of Aargau. We buy, test, repair and sell used consoles, games and cameras, every piece by hand.
